Having never been to one of these before, I was fairly excited to see what it had to offer. The talks seemed to be interesting and so did the food. Ben, our PHP developer, joined me for the evening. The turnout was very good, I didn’t do a headcount but it looked like more than the 27 dinner. A quick visual scan confirmed this was indeed a geek dinner.
I am always skeptical of stats, especially on the web but these ones are quite interesting when it comes to screen resolution. Most agencies I know still design for 800×600. Seems those days are over (according to these stats):

I have never been to one of these but it looks a lot more geek than the 27 dinner, well at least there are more speakers and ALL topics are on programming. Ben and (possibly) Mike are also coming along.

The design team was assigned the task of creating a mid-priced sports car that integrates ecology and emotion in a concept that addresses the question “What is a suitable sports car for the 21st Century?”

Volkswagen personnel and bemused passers-by, the Touareg V10 TDI completed seven complete runs on the auxiliary runway at Dunsfold Aerodrome, 40 miles south west of London.
The vehicle was a standard production Touareg fitted with a special towing adaptor to connect it with the aircraft towing link and loaded with 4.3 tonnes of metal ballast to bring its total weight to just over seven tonnes (7,030 kg) including the driver, an engineer from the technical department at the company’s headquarters in Germany.
Enter Phase 3. Up to now, the Seed Article Module has been faithfully powering my blog. I’ve decided it’s time to move to Wordpress. Mainly because this module wasn’t built for blogging and time is a valuable commodity in my life at the moment.
